Speedwing Ozone Rapido 3X is an evolution of the Rapido 3. It has everything that R3 has, but also works perfectly for speedriding. Thanks to the shorter lines it follows a skier very well and also has shorter delays between the inputs and reactions in flight. It’s a high-performance lightweight wing for experienced speedflyers and speedriders. R3x features pulley risers with soft links and unsheathed lines. Your piloting on B+C bridge will be smooth and natural.
For speedriding
Ozone Rapido 3x is a big step over the Rapido 3. Thanks to the sorter lines, lightweight fabric and risers it perfectly follows you while skiing! Because of the lightweight construction the wing has less inertness so it easier to keep it above your head during aggressive turns, braking and jumping. Short lines reduce a lot the twisting delay (when the pilot is already made a turn and the wing is still at the previous direction).
For speedflying (footlaunching)
Ozone Rapido 3x has more precise piloting control with shorter delays between inputs and reactions. It is possible because of the shorter lines and lightweight fabric. Also it gives you shorter turning radius what is very useful for flying in tight spaces and proximity barrel rolls.
The disadvantages of the Rapido 3x speedwing construction are:
– shorter lifespan because of the light fabric (especially if you fly on the sandy terrain)
– a bit worse aerodynamics in 360 turns and recovery. Shorter lines give less efficient tension distribution on the sides of the ears what leads to the outside ear fluttering (same for any short line speedwings).
– less comfortable trimmer loops because of the lightweight construction

Actually I’m just testing a review button on the site. But Rapido 3x is one of my favourite wings for speedflying. A bit too high performance for speedriding but I’m not the best skier )) what can be improved? The bridge B/c riser should be a bit higher. And I want the blue trimmer puller back. Also we should find a better solution for trimmer buckle, to make it last longer or being easy to change (but it is about any speeding).
