Sky Paragliders Crux

Sky Paragliders Crux is lightweight reversible speedflying and pargliding harness. The harness detaches from the backpack completely and becomes a separate thing (weighting around 360 g). As a result it is a great hike-n-fly option which can be used with any other normal backpack. People who love to sit deep in the harness will love it. It gives you very comfortable relax position and a lot of performance for aggressive piloting in speedflying. Also harness works great with light full size paragliders. For this you can attach the airbag, accelerator and a reserve parachute container.

Crux construction highlights

Sky Paragliders Crux harness comes in three sizes: M, L and XL. Check our video review below to get an idea how it looks on Tess (M size on 165 cm 60 kg) and on Alex (L size on 185 cm 75 kg). It has pockets for water bottle and small things. Also it has pockets on the comfortable hip belt. With nice compression straps you can carry the ice axe or your trekking poles. This harness doesn’t have any adjustment buckles on the side straps for different body positions. So it’s better to try it before buying to make sure that this body position fits your tasks. Also better to try it with the proper weight in your backpack because it can influence your body position a lot.

However in our opinion the back pack is quite basic as most other lightweight reversible harnesses/backpacks and work well only for the little hike and fly missions. So if you are planning something serious with a lot of hiking/ski touring and heavy equipment – it’s better to disconnect the harness and use it with your normal backpack.
